Lower Falls Platform – Limited Edition Print (Only 25 Available)
“Lower Falls Platform” captures the morning tranquility of the Lower Falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park, with the warm golden tones of the cascading water set against the serene, lush green forest. Taken just after daybreak, this photograph was part of an early morning hike, during which the artist had the unique experience of “web breaking”—being the first person on the trail and walking through spider webs strung across the path. The wooden platform visible in the image is one of the public viewing platforms along the trail, offering visitors an up-close perspective of the rushing falls. This platform is just a short walk from the campground parking lot, making the Lower Falls one of the park’s most accessible and rewarding sites.
The movement of the tannin-rich water, caused by natural processes from the surrounding trees, creates a dynamic contrast between the soft, warm tones of the falls and the stillness of the forest. The detailed textures of the wood railing, the flowing water, and the surrounding nature provide depth and immersion, making this an ideal piece for any nature enthusiast or collector.
